The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University held a scientific seminar to discuss the PhD dissertation proposal submitted by researcher/ Mohammed Dhaifallah Fares, entitled:“The Administrative Effectiveness of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Its Relationship to the Level of Technical and Educational Performance of Coaches in Selected Team Sports in the Republic of Yemen.”
The seminar was organized as part of the Faculty of Physical Education’s commitment to supporting scientific research and promoting specialized academic studies in the fields of sports administration and sports coaching, contributing to the development of the Yemeni sports system and the advancement of administrative, technical, and educational performance within sports institutions and organizations.
During the seminar, the researcher presented a comprehensive overview of the study, addressing the research problem, significance, objectives, research questions, and hypotheses, in addition to the proposed methodology, research procedures, population and sample, and data collection instruments. He also explained the nature of the relationship that the study seeks to investigate between the level of administrative effectiveness of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the level of technical and educational performance of coaches in selected team sports in the Republic of Yemen.
The researcher further presented the main dimensions of the study, particularly the concept of administrative effectiveness, administrative practices in the sports field, the level of administrative efficiency, and the technical and educational aspects associated with the work of team-sport coaches. These dimensions are expected to contribute to developing findings and recommendations that can be utilized to improve sports performance at both the administrative and coaching levels.
The seminar featured an extensive academic discussion involving faculty members, specialists, and attendees. The discussion focused on a number of scientific and methodological observations and recommendations aimed at enriching the dissertation proposal and enhancing its academic rigor in accordance with the requirements of doctoral-level research.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the researcher’s academic efforts in preparing the dissertation proposal were commended. Emphasis was placed on the importance of further developing the proposal and incorporating the observations and recommendations raised during the discussion to ensure that the study meets the desired academic and scientific standards.
The organization of this seminar reaffirms the Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University’s commitment to supporting researchers and postgraduate students, promoting scientific research in sports sciences, and contributing to the production of academic studies that address real-world issues and support efforts to develop the sports sector in the Republic of Yemen.
