In line with the directives of the President of Sana’a University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bakhiti, regarding continuous monitoring and ongoing improvement of university facilities, and in accordance with the recommendations of the external review committees for national accreditation to submit periodic reports reflecting levels of achievement through regular evaluations, the Dean of the Center for Development, Prof. Dr. Huda Ali Al-Imad, commissioned committees to assess the faculties and centers as part of the scheduled field-visit plan for all university units.

The objective is to fulfill the requirements of continuous improvement and enhance facility efficiency in alignment with programmatic and institutional accreditation standards.

During the visit, the committees conducted a comprehensive assessment of the infrastructure of the Faculty of Physical Education. The evaluation covered aspects of maintenance, renovation, and cleanliness, in addition to assessing the readiness of classrooms, laboratories, and academic and service facilities to ensure their compliance with quality and institutional accreditation standards.

At the conclusion of the visit, the committees submitted their technical reports, which included key needs, observations, and recommendations required to complete ongoing development efforts. This reflects the university’s commitment to improving the educational environment, enhancing the quality of its facilities, and fulfilling the requirements for national academic accreditation.

The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University has officially announced the completion of maintenance work on the college’s basketball court, following a series of improvements that included rehabilitating and cleaning the court’s surface, as well as repairing surrounding facilities to ensure a safe and fully integrated instructional environment for students.

The Faculty’s administration indicated that the maintenance efforts were carried out as part of its plan to modernize the sports infrastructure, contributing to the support of academic and athletic activities within the faculty and enhancing the readiness of the courts for upcoming practical lectures, events, and student competitions.

The Faculty affirmed that the reopening of the court will provide students with improved opportunities for hands-on application of course material, in addition to practicing sports activities and developing their skills, which will positively influence the overall educational process within the faculty.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the Faculty’s commitment to continuing the development of its sports facilities and providing an educational environment that meets students’ needs and supports their academic and athletic advancement.

Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University continues to deliver the Sport Psychology course to second-year students, taught by Dr. Samir Massed Jamil as part of the academic plan for the 1447 AH / 2025–2026 academic year. The continuation of these lectures reflects the College’s commitment to strengthening students’ scientific and practical competencies, and to deepening their understanding of the psychological factors that influence athletic performance.

The course has garnered notable engagement from students due to its applied content, which addresses topics such as athletes’ motivation, emotional regulation, confidence enhancement, and mental preparation strategies prior to competitions. Dr. Samir Massed Jamil’s academic approach contributes to clarifying key concepts and linking them to practical realities in sports settings.

The College emphasizes that offering this course aligns with ongoing efforts to improve students’ academic and professional competencies in accordance with the needs of the sports labor market. It aims to prepare graduates capable of applying psychological principles in various fields, including coaching, officiating, and sports management.

The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University held an academic seminar session to discuss the doctoral dissertation proposal submitted by researcher Reem Abdullah Al-Masri, titled: “The Effectiveness of a Proposed Recreational Sports Program on Selected Psychological and Social Variables Among Juvenile Delinquents at the Social Guidance Home in the Capital Secretariat”.

During the session, which was attended by several faculty members and specialists in sports and educational sciences, the researcher presented the key features of her study and its research problem. She emphasized the importance of recreational sports programs in improving the psychological and social well-being of special-needs groups, particularly juvenile delinquents residing in social guidance institutions.

Participants exchanged a set of constructive academic observations related to the study’s methodology, tools, and procedures, with the aim of enhancing the dissertation’s quality and preparing it for presentation before the Registration and Defense Committee in accordance with established academic standards.

The session concluded with commendations for the researcher’s efforts and the significance of the study’s topic, given its valuable contribution to supporting behavioral and rehabilitative programs within care institutions and its role in facilitating the rehabilitation of juveniles and their positive integration into society.

As part of the continuation of the educational and academic process at the faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University, a lecture was held this morning in the subject of football for Third-Level students, delivered by Professor Dr. Fouad Muhammad Al-Awdi – subject teacher.

During the lecture, Prof.Dr. Al-Awdi discusses scientific and applied topics related to the technical and tactical foundations of football, in addition to discussing practical aspects related to developing students’ skill and physical performance, in line with the requirements for preparing scientifically and professionally qualified sports personnel.
