Mr. Mohammed Dhaifallah Hassan Faris was awarded a Master’s Degree in Physical Education with for his thesis titled: Sport as a Means to Promote Optimal Health from the Perspective of Community Members in the Capital Secretariat of Sana’a, which was submitted to Department of Physical Education, Faculty of Physical Education – Sana’a University. - Identify the role of sport in promoting physical, social, psychological, and cognitive health among members of the community in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
- Examine the role of sport in enhancing the physical fitness of members of the armed and security forces, from the perspective of community members in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a).
- There were statistically significant differences in the role of sport in promoting optimal health among community members, attributed to the variables of practice and age.
- No significant differences were found regarding gender or educational level, except in the dimension of perceptions of sport in promoting optimal health among members of the armed and security forces, where statistically significant differences were found in favor of males.













Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University reaffirms the continuity and high effectiveness of its educational and academic process, in line with its steadfast commitment to graduating well-qualified sports professionals who meet the needs of both the labor market and the community. These ongoing efforts aim to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of the academic plan, with an emphasis on both theoretical and practical dimensions across various sports disciplines.
In this context, the faculty’s classrooms and training fields have witnessed an intensification of lectures and practical sessions in several core and specialized courses, which serve as a foundation for developing students’ knowledge and skills. These sessions have been marked by strong attendance and active participation from male and female students, under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialized faculty members.
In the Basketball Course: Advanced theoretical and practical lectures were conducted, focusing on offensive and defensive tactical strategies, alongside training in both fundamental and advanced skills, as well as international game regulations. The aim was to prepare academically qualified teachers capable of applying these concepts effectively.
In the Combat Sports (Boxing) Course: The specialized training hall for combat sports witnessed notable activity centered on the principles and rules of boxing. The sessions emphasized the correct application of techniques and sparring methods to ensure student safety while enhancing their physical and mental capabilities in this vital sport. Security and safety measures were carefully observed during all practical applications.
In the Recreational Sports Course: An important lecture was held to equip students with the necessary knowledge to organize and manage recreational activities and community sports programs. The session focused on the role of recreation in improving quality of life and public health, as well as on designing innovative recreational programs suitable for different age groups.
These concerted efforts reflect the faculty’s dedication to providing comprehensive and integrated sports education that combines academic depth with practical expertise. Such an approach contributes to elevating students’ academic and athletic performance and reinforces the faculty’s status as a leading educational institution in the region.

Sana’a –
The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University has successfully concluded the final examinations for the first semester of the academic year 1447 AH / 2025–2026 AD, which were administered through the automation system for Level One and Level Four students.
The examinations were conducted in a highly organized manner under the direct supervision of the College Dean and faculty members, ensuring adherence to the principles of fairness, transparency, and accuracy in the evaluation process.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Abdulghani Mujahid Mutahar, stated that the implementation of the automated examination system comes as part of the college’s strategic orientation toward digital transformation and the modernization of academic assessment mechanisms. He affirmed that this approach contributes to enhancing the efficiency of the educational process and improving the overall quality of academic outcomes.
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ali Al-Khawlani, Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Head of the Examination Control Committee, commended the smooth conduct of the examinations, noting that they were implemented according to a well-structured plan and with a high level of precision in supervision and monitoring. He emphasized that such organization reflects the college’s readiness and the competence of its academic and administrative staff.
At the conclusion of the examination period, the Faculty Administration extended its sincere appreciation to all faculty members, administrative and technical staff, and the central examination committee for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the success of the examination process. The administration also expressed its gratitude to the students for their commitment and academic discipline, wishing them continued success and excellence in their educational endeavors.







Sana’a –
The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University concluded today the third-level examinations for the first semester of the academic year 1447 AH / 2025–2026 AD, which were conducted under the automation system. This initiative comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance academic evaluation mechanisms through the use of modern technologies.
The examinations proceeded smoothly and in accordance with the plans and procedures approved by the supervisory committee, amid an atmosphere characterized by discipline and commitment from both students and the examination monitoring committee.
The Faculty’s Administration affirmed that the implementation of the automation system contributes to strengthening transparency and accuracy in the evaluation process while aligning with the digital transformation requirements of higher education institutions. The administration also commended the efforts of the academic and technical teams whose contributions ensured the successful completion of the examination process.
This achievement reflects the Faculty’s continuous commitment to advancing the educational process and improving its outcomes in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.













Sana’a –
The Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University, Professor Dr. Abdulghani Mujahid Mutahar, conducted an inspection visit to the Unified Examination Center at the university to review the progress of the examination process for the faculty’s students and to ensure the proper implementation of the approved organizational and technical procedures governing the examinations.
During the visit, the Dean toured several examination halls and listened to a briefing from the center’s administrators regarding the mechanism of examination management, the readiness level of the technical committees and supervisors, and the measures taken to ensure fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process.
Professor Dr. Mutahar commended the high level of organization and discipline observed during his visit, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the center’s administration in providing an exemplary examination environment that enables students to take their exams smoothly and efficiently.
This visit comes as part of the Faculty of Physical Education’s commitment to continuous field monitoring of various academic and examination activities and to promoting the principles of transparency and quality performance within the university’s educational process.




Ms. Rasha Omar Ahmed Al-Jahdari was awarded a Master’s degree in Physical Education for her thesis titled “Obstacles to the Training and Competition Process for People with Disabilities in the Republic of Yemen and Proposed Solutions“, which was submitted to Department of Physical Education at Faculty of Physical Education – Sana’a University. The defense was held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, corresponding to Rabi’ al-Thani 3, 1447 Hijri.

The thesis aimed to identify the obstacles to the training and competition process for People with Disabilities (PwDs) in the Republic of Yemen and to propose suitable solutions.

- All categories of obstacles were found to have a “High” level of impact. School-Educational obstacles ranked first as the biggest barrier (with an arithmetic mean of 4.23). The most significant was the “lack of appropriate sports systems and activities in schools.”
- Administrative and Financial obstacles followed in the second rank (mean 4.08). The most impactful of these were the “absence of a dedicated budget for external participation” and the “low salaries of coaches.”
- Obstacles related to the Family and Community were in the third rank (mean 3.91), followed by the Professional obstacles for Coaches in the fourth rank (mean 3.85), the most prominent of which was the “lack of specialized training courses for coaches.”
- Statistically significant differences were found in the perception of School-Educational obstacles attributable to the variables of gender (in favor of males) and age (in favour of the 41-60 age group). No statistically significant differences were found based on academic qualification or type of disability.
- Educational authorities developing inclusive sports activities in schools.
- Governmental bodies approving fixed budgets to support sports for people with disabilities and qualifying training cadres.
- Enhancing community partnership to support this vital group.







Sana’a – The Faculty of Physical Education at Sana’a University inaugurated this morning the first-semester final examinations for the 1447 AH (2025–2026) academic year, administered through an automated testing system, for first- and third-level students in the courses of Islamic Culture and Statistics in the Field of Sports.
The Examination Committee explained that this initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to advancing the educational process and modernizing assessment mechanisms in line with recognized academic quality standards, ensuring accuracy and transparency in grading and results.
