Sana’a University ADQAC Team Reviews Academic and Administrative Performance at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

A team from the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC) at Sana’a University conducted a field visit today to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine as part of the Center’s regular program for monitoring academic and administrative performance across the University’s faculties, assessing the educational and research environment, and supporting continuous development and improvement in accordance with quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements.
The visit included a field tour of several Faculty facilities, including the Faculty administration, classrooms, laboratories, service facilities, and infrastructure. The team assessed the readiness of the educational environment and its suitability to the nature of the academic programs and specializations offered by the Faculty. The team also reviewed existing practices and identified needs and areas for potential development and improvement.
The visiting team comprised Prof. Abdulmajid Bajash, Dr. Mohammed Al-Baydi, and Mr. Adel Al-Qubati. The team met with Dr. Abdulraqeeb Al-Shami, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Khulood Al-Nasser, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance; Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shahari, Faculty Secretary; as well as the Administrative Officer, Faculty Registrar, and Systems Manager.
The meeting reviewed and discussed a number of issues related to academic and administrative performance indicators, operational mechanisms, and the level of implementation of plans and programs, in addition to the Faculty’s efforts to develop the educational and research processes and improve the services provided to students.
The meeting emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement, developing academic and administrative practices, and enhancing the educational and research environment in ways that contribute to improving institutional performance and the quality of educational outcomes, in line with Sana’a University’s commitment to meeting quality assurance and academic accreditation standards.
The team also discussed a number of improvement opportunities that could contribute to enhancing the Faculty’s performance, emphasizing that field visits constitute an important tool employed by the ADQAC to gain a direct understanding of actual performance, identify needs, and provide technical and advisory support to faculties in their pursuit of institutional and academic development.
Faculty representatives commended the efforts of the ADQAC in monitoring faculty performance and providing the necessary support to strengthen quality practices. They affirmed the Faculty’s commitment to benefiting from the observations and recommendations arising from the visit and incorporating them into its improvement and development plans.
The visit forms part of the regular program of the ADQAC at Sana’a University, which aims to strengthen partnerships with the University’s faculties, monitor performance indicators, support their efforts to develop educational, research, and administrative processes, and consolidate a system of quality and continuous improvement, thereby enhancing the University’s standing and improving the quality of its academic outcomes.
