· Vice-Dean for Students’ Affairs (2014 -2015), Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, Sana’a. Performing all the academic, administrative and supervising activities connected to the role of the Vice-Dean for the Students’ Affairs in the faculty.

· Associate Professor of Linguistics (2014-2020), teaching two courses in the undergraduate program: Semantics, and Transformational Generative Grammar; and teaching two courses in the MA program in the department: Semantics & Pragmatics, and Topics in General Linguistics, in the program.

· Head of English Department (2012-2013), Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, Sana’a. Performed all the academic and administrative works of the department of English, including selecting of instructors, supervising teaching of all courses in the department, preparing timetables and revising and editing exams, courses descriptions, administrating seminars, meetings and exams and other departmental activities; in addition to teaching in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Coordinated the EAP/ESP requirement courses in the different faculties of Sana’a University.

· Head of the Department of Turkey (2011-2012), Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, Sana’a. In addition to my teaching load and other works in the Department of English, I performed all the administrative and supervision works of the department of Turkey in the absence of the Turkish instructors during the Yemen crisis.

· Faculty Youth Leader (2000-2004), Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, Sana’a, Coordinating and supervising all the non-classroom cultural and sport activities of all the students in the faculty.

· Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Coordinator of Postgraduate Studies (2000-2008), Faculty of Languages, Sana’a University, Sana’a, covering a load of 12 hours a week every semester, in the undergraduate level, teaching the linguistic courses of Semantics and Transformational Generative Grammar, Morphology and Syntax, and History of the English Language; and teaching 3 hours a week in the postgraduate level, teaching the linguistic courses of History of the English Language and General & Theoretical Linguistics, in addition to coordinating all the postgraduate studies and projects in the department.

· Assist Teacher of Linguistics (1997-1999), finishing the PhD study.
