A team from the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center (ADQAC) at ‎Sana’a University discussed academic and administrative performance indicators, ‎monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, as well as ways to enhance performance, improve ‎the quality of educational and research processes, and strengthen institutional practices at ‎the Faculty of Science during a field visit.‎

During the visit, the team met with Dr. Mohammed Qusaylah, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. ‎Ilham Shukri, Vice Dean for Quality Assurance; and Dr. Saeed Al-Ghalibi, Vice Dean ‎for Postgraduate Studies. The meeting reviewed the level of academic and administrative ‎performance and discussed development priorities and quality-related needs for the ‎coming period.‎

The ADQAC team comprised Dr. Houria Al-Sabri, Dr. Abeer Al-Wajeeh, and Ms. ‎Naseem Al-Kebsi. The meeting addressed the importance of strengthening monitoring ‎and evaluation tools and developing mechanisms for documenting performance and ‎institutional practices in ways that contribute to measuring achievement levels and ‎identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.‎
‎ ‎
The field visit also included an inspection of several Faculty facilities, particularly ‎classrooms, laboratories, and service facilities, to assess the readiness of the educational ‎environment and infrastructure, the available resources, and the extent to which they are ‎utilized to support educational and research activities.‎

The Center’s team emphasized the importance of continuing to develop academic and ‎administrative practices and linking the findings of evaluation processes to improvement ‎plans, thereby enhancing performance efficiency and strengthening the Faculty’s capacity ‎to meet quality assurance and academic accreditation requirements.‎

The visit forms part of the ADQAC’s program at Sana’a University to monitor ‎performance indicators across the University’s faculties, support their efforts to identify ‎opportunities for improvement and develop institutional practices, foster a culture of ‎quality, and enhance the performance and outcomes of educational and research ‎processes.‎
