Ibrahim Ahmed Abdullah Shorim

Former Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Economics at Sana’a University, and currently an assistant professor of accounting and auditing at Sana’a University, and a member of the administrative board elected by the General Assembly of the Yemeni Certified Public Accountants Association for the period (2021-2023 AD). He is a certified public accountant with a license from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and has been renewed until now. He obtained a PhD in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce – Cairo University – Arab Republic of Egypt.

He holds a Certified Public Accountant license in auditing and auditing (YCPA) from the Yemeni Certified Public Accountants Association and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, under which he obtained a license to practice the profession of certified public accountant, Republic of Yemen, 2017.

–          Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Economics at Sana’a University, 2020.

–          Professor of accounting and auditing for the bachelor’s and master’s levels in more than one university and private academy in the Republic of Yemen since he obtained a doctorate in accounting and auditing from Cairo University, where he studied most of the accounting courses, from 2016 until now.

–           Supervising theses at the master’s level for more than one researcher so far.

–          Executive Director of the office of Dr. Ibrahim Shorim for Auditing, registered with the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the Republic of Yemen, as an auditor with license No. (1513), to provide financial and tax advisory services, design accounting information systems, settle commercial disputes, and audit, from 2017 AD until now.

–          Certified Public Accountant with License No. (1513) from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, with membership No. (1413) of the Yemeni Certified Public Accountants Association (YCPA) and the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) so far.

–          Participation in the preparation of a program in accounting as well as a master’s program in more than one Yemeni private university, during the period (from 2017 to 2021).

–           Worked as the Director of Control and Audit at Raha Transportation Co., Ltd., during the period from 2005 to 2007.

–           He worked as a banker at the Central Bank of Yemen, and worked there as an accountant in the management of current accounts and then as an auditor, during the period from 2003 to 2005.

–          He worked as an assistant faculty member (Teacher), in the Accounting and Auditing Department, Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Sana’a University, since his appointment as a teaching assistant as the first in his class with an excellent grade with honors, during the period from 2003 to 2008.

–          Worked as an internal auditor at Al-Kbous Commercial and Industrial Corporation, in one afternoon, in 2003.
