Summary:

Dr. Elham Abdulrahman Abdullah Al-Taifi, is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry – Department of Chemistry – Faculty of Science – Sana’a University and a faculty member since 1995 – until now. She obtained her master and PhD degrees from Assiut University – Egypt. She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at University Sains Malaysia (USM) for two years (9/2009 – 9/2011). From 2002 to date, she has published 28 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She supervised and examined master’s theses and also examined academic promotions to Associate Professor positions. She also assumed several duties in the chemistry department as the head of the organic chemistry division, the head of the laboratories unit, and the head of the time-tables unit. She participated in many conferences and workshops; in the field of chemistry, professional development and academic development, as well as in the field of occupational safety and the use of chemical analysis devices. She participated in courses description of chemistry department and developing the study plan within the programs of Academic Development and Quality Assurance Center at University of Sana’a. She taught many courses of chemistry and organic chemistry for undergraduate and master’s students, and participated in student evaluation, and supervision of graduation projects.
