I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Faculty of Commerce and Economics – Sana’a University, and got my master’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University – New Delhi – Republic of India, and got Ph.D. from University of Pune – Pune – Republic of India.

I am currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Statistics and Information – Faculty of Commerce and Economics – Sana’a University and specializes in teaching computer materials and applied statistical packages and programs in the department.

I am currently working – since 2017 – as the Vice-Dean of the College for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Studies.

Education:

• 1985, B. Com. from Sana’a University with cumulative grade (Very Good).
• 1995, MCA (Master of Computer Application) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India with cumulative grade (B⁺⁾.
• 2008, Ph. D. In Computer Science from Pune University, Computer Science Department, Pune, India. In the subject of using Statistical and Artificial Neural Network Methods of Classification in Geographical Information System.
• 1986 – 1989, Lecturer at Sana’a University, Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Department of Statistics and Mathematics. Taught Mathematics and statistics subjects for first and second year students.
• 1995 – 1998, Assistant Professor at the same college. Taught Operations research and Computer Language Programming subjects (Pascal & FORTRAN) for third and fourth year students.
• 1997 – 1998 Assistant Professor at Sheba University, Taught Computer Language Programming subjects (Basic).
• July, 2006 – Oct, 2007. Coordinator for GIS & GPS Projects at Itex Solutions, Sana’a, Yemen.
• June, 2008 till now Assistant Professor at Sana’a University, Faculty of Commerce and Economics, Department of Statistics.
• Certified Instructor course principles of Computer in Azal University – Sanaa for the years 2014 and 2015 .
• 2016 – till now a certified teacher of “Medical information System and Biostatistics ” in the Arab Academy – Sanaa .

• Very good experience in MapInfo Professional program.
• Very good experience in most GIS and GPS programs.
