Public PhD Viva-Voce Examination of Ms. Amat Al-Rahman Abdullah Hamoud Qawarah
The Public Viva-Voce Examination for the PhD Dissertation entitled, “Family Harmony and the Big Five Personality Factors and their Relationship with the Use of Social Media Sites among High School Students in Sanaa, the Capital of Yemen”, submitted by Ms. Amat Al-Rahman Abdullah Hamoud Qawarah, Department of Educational Psychology, Faculty of Education, was held on Thursday 19/01/1446 Hijri corresponding to 25/07/2024. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to identify the relationship between the use of social media, family harmony, and the Big Five personality factors. The study followed a descriptive correlational method and used three tools: a social media usage scale (21 items), a family harmony scale (33 items), and a Big Five personality factors scale (47 items). The study sample consisted of 1178 students, with a total of 588 male students and 590 female students from high schools in the directorates of Shu’oub, Al-Thawra, Al-Tahrir, and Bani Al-Harith in Sana’a city, Yemen.
The dissertation was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. Then, the Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy majoring in Child Psychology with an overall grade of Excellent.
