Rector’s Media Advisor Emphasizes Social Media Importance for Improving University Online Presence
Sana’a, Yemen – In line with the directives of Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, Sana’a University Rector, the University’s media team led by the Rector’s advisor for media affairs, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, met with the councils of several faculties over the past few days to discuss enhancing the University’s online presence, including the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, the Faculty of Mass Communication, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Faculty of Petroleum & Natural Resources, and the Faculty of Sciences.
During these meetings, Al-Hababi provided a comprehensive explanation of the ongoing website development efforts. He stressed the importance of activating various social media platforms and linking them to faculty announcements, activities, and events. This, in turn, would increase website traffic and ultimately improve the University’s international ranking.
Al-Hababi also highlighted the need to ensure that all content posted on these platforms aligns with the University’s media policy and benefits students, faculties, and the University as a whole. Additionally, he emphasized the significance of publicizing the viva-voce sessions of the postgraduate theses, granted by the University faculties and centers, on the University’s main website and the faculties’ websites as well as social media pages, as this will serve as inspiring models for postgraduate students.
The deans emphasized the commitment of their respective faculties and staff to doing their part in elevating Sana’a University’s international ranking across all academic disciplines.
