Conclusion of the Third Training Course for Website and Social Media Managers at Sana’a University
Under the patronage of Prof. Al-Qassem Mohammed Abass, the Rector of Sana’a University, the third training course for website and social media managers from the university’s faculties and centers concluded today. The course, held under the theme “Towards a Purposeful University Media,” focused on training participants in writing and preparing news reports, selecting appropriate photography angles for covering various events and activities, and utilizing modern applications and programs for managing social media platforms and creating suitable content for the faculties and research centers at Sana’a University.
During the conclusion of the three-day course, which was held at the Business Administration Center of the Faculty of Commerce, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the University Rector’s Advisor for Media Affairs, explained that the main goal of organizing this course was to equip the forty participants—responsible for the websites and social media platforms of the university’s faculties and centers—with the appropriate skills to effectively cover news, events, and activities taking place within their faculties and centers at Sana’a University. The university is the first in Yemen, with a robust infrastructure and a wealth of human resources, represented by its esteemed teaching staff across all faculties and centers. It serves tens of thousands of students from various Yemeni governorates in nearly every field of science.
Mr. Al-Hababi underscored the importance of applying the training received—whether in news preparation or content creation for each faculty or center—on their respective websites and social media platforms in the coming days. He noted that this would mark a significant improvement in the overall appearance of these platforms and positively impact the university’s image. Moreover, it would contribute to accurately portraying the university to the local community and the international university ranking bodies.
It is worth noting that during the three-day course, participants received both theoretical lectures and hands-on activities under the supervision of Dr. Ali Al-Ammar, Head of the Department of Journalism and Electronic Publishing at the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Mr. Majid Aslan, Manager of Information Systems at the Faculty of Education and the Computer Center.
