Public Viva-Voce Examination for the PhD Dissertation of Mr. Ahmed Saleh Hassan Al-Makhadi form the Faculty of Arts and Humanities – Sana’a UniversityThe Public Viva-Voce Examination for the PhD Dissertation entitled “Al-Ahd Al-Akeed Tafsir Al-Quran Al-Majeed Al-Montaza` min Al-Bayan wa At-Tajreed, written by Al-Imam An-Nassir lideen-Allah Al-Hasan bin Ali bin Dawood Al-Moaidi (Died in 1026 Hijri). (From the Beginning of the book to the End of Surat Al Ma’idah – Study and Investigation”, submitted by Mr. Ahmed Saleh Hassan Al-Makhadi, from the Department of Islamic Studies, at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Sana’a University majoring in Qur’an Studies (Tafsir and the sciences of Qur’an). The Viva-Voce took place on Wednesday, 21st of Safar, 1445 Hijri, corresponding to June 27, 2024.
The Viva-Voce Committee consisted of, Professor Dr. Ali Maqbool Al-Ahdal supervisor, member; Professor Dr. Muti’ Mohammad Shabalah, internal examiner, Chair, and Associate Professor Ahmed Mohammad Madhkur, external examiner, member.
The primary objective of the dissertation was to analyze the manuscript of “Al-Ahd Al-Akeed ,” which encompasses various aspects of Quranic sciences, including interpretations, readings, jurisprudence, language, and the citation of prophetic hadiths while addressing jurisprudential issues. The researcher identified several significant findings, noting that the work is rich in scholarly content.
In addition, the researcher proposed several recommendations within his dissertation, advocating for the allocation of jurisprudential and doctrinal topics into two distinct scientific studies.
The Viva-Vice was attended by notable figures, including Dr. Ahmed Mutahhar, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies(Faculty of Arts and Humanities); Dr. Mohammad Al-Makhdi, Rector of the University of Yemen; Dr. Ali Muzaffar, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Mahwit; Dr. Mohammad Al-Mikhlafi; as well as other academics, researchers, students, and members of the researcher’s family and colleagues.
