Mr. Majed Aslan: The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled: “The Effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Developing the Geographical and Historical Thinking Skills among Primary Stage Teachers of Social Sciences in Yemen”, submitted by Ms. Warda Mohammed Ahmed Naif Department of Social Sciences (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Social Sciences) , Faculty of Education –Sana’a, was held on Thursday, 11/02/1446 Hijri corresponding to 15/8/2024. The study aimed at discovering the effectiveness of a Training Program Based on Geographical and Historical Skills among Primary Stage Teachers of Social Sciences in Yemen.

The study concluded high rate of effectiveness for the training program based on the learning styles (Fark Style) in developing geographical and historical thinking skills among Primary Stage Teachers of Social Sciences in Yemen.

Many recommendations were suggested as: Benifiting from the training program based on the learning styles (Fark Style) in training the social sciences teachers in primary stage in Yemen. Training social sciences teachers to employ the FARK program in helping learners and understanding their patterns, paying attention to historical and geographical thinking skills in pre- and in-service social studies teacher preparation programs.

A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.
