obtained the Master degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an Excellent average of 95%, from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Sanaa University, for her Master’s thesis entitled:

Prevalence of Parotid Tumors among Yemeni Patients in Sanaa City

The discussing committee consisted of:

♦ Assistant Professor Dr. Taghrid AL-KEBSSY, Principle Supervisor Committee Member,

♦ Professor Dr. Yahya AL-HADY, Internal Examiner Committee Member, and

♦ Associate Professor Nashwan Hamid AL-TAIRY, External Examiner Head of Committee.

This Master’s thesis aims at determining the prevalence of parotid gland tumors in the Yemeni population.

The study comes out with key findings revealing that 69% of tumors are benign, while 31% are malignant.

The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this dissertation, of which:

Conducting future studies for the objective of identifying the risk factors associated to parotid gland tumors.

Attendees of the session were a number of academics, researchers, interested students of the major, as well as the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
