Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of Ms. Najwa Naji Mohammed Alnaqeeb
The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled: “The Effectiveness of an Enrichment Program on Developing Social Justice Concepts Among the Third Study Cycle Students of Primary Education and Their Attitudes towards it”, submitted by Ms. Najwa Naji Mohammed Alnaqeeb Department of Social Sciences (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Social Sciences) , Faculty of Education –Sana’a, was held on Thursday, 16/03/1446 Hijri corresponding to 19/9/2024. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at:-
- preparing a list of the needed social justice concepts among the third study cycle students of primary education, preparing an enrichment program on developing social justice concepts among the third study stage students of primary education.
- Finding out the effectiveness of the application of two study units of the enrichment program on developing the social justice concepts among seventh and eighth students of primary education.
- Highlighting seventh and eighth grade students’ attitudes towards the social justice concepts.
The study concluded a significant statistical difference at level (0.05) among the means of the pre/posttest of the social justice concepts for the sake of the posttest. It was also concluded that the was a significant statistical difference at level (0.05) among the means of seventh and eighth students’ attitudes towards the social justice concepts in the pre/post application for the sake of the post application. Moreover, the findings revealed high level of effectiveness for the two study units of the enrichment program on developing the social justice concepts among seventh and eighth students of primary education.
Many recommendations were suggested as: Benefiting from the list of the needed social justice concepts in the development of the social sciences textbooks in primary education. Curriculum designers and specialist must take into account the inclusion of such social justice concepts when designing these textbooks. Getting benefit from the enrichment program to be administered on another sample of a study in other situations. Educating and promoting social justice by spreading awareness about social justice issues in the family and society through media campaigns. – Providing school libraries with references and literature that include simplified audio-visual media revolving around the topics of justice, equality, dignity and human rights.
