Public MA Viva-Voce Examination of Mr. Saleh Mohammad Hussein Saleh Naji, from the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University
Mr. Saleh Mohammad Hussein Saleh Naji successfully awarded his MA Degree in Islamic Studies, majoring in Interpretation(Tafsir), from the Department of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Arts & Humanities – Sana’a University. He achieved a commendable grade of 93, for his thesis entitled “Al-Jawhar Al-Shafaaf Al-Multaqit Min Mughasat Al-Kashaf,” by Abdullah bin Al-Hadi bin Al-Imam Yahya bin Hamza (Died in 793 Hijri) from the Beginning of Surat Al-Mujadilah to the End of Surat An-Nas: A Study and Verification”.
This event took place on Wednesday, 4 Jumada I 1446, corresponding to November 6, 2024.
The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:
1. Dr. Saeed Ali Al-Hamri, Main Supervisor, Sana’a University, Member.
2. Dr. Al-Junaid Al-Tayeb Amin Al-Nour, External Examiner, Sa’dah University, Chair.
3. Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Abdu Mutahhar, Internal Examiner, Sana’a University, Member.
The primary objective of the thesis was to examine the manuscript through a rigorous scientific lens, thereby benefiting researchers, readers, specialists, and knowledge seekers alike. The work aimed to highlight new insights derived from the investigation, contributing significantly to both the explanatory library and the broader Islamic library.
The thesis yielded several notable findings, particularly regarding the esteemed figure of the scholar Abdullah bin Al-Hadi bin Al-Imam Yahya and his substantial contributions to the Islamic Scientific Library, characterized by a rich legacy of interpretative scholarship.
In his thesis, the researcher also offered several recommendations, emphasizing the importance of leveraging Yemen’s rich heritage of ancient manuscripts left by distinguished scholars.
The Viva-Voce was attended by several academics, researchers, students, and several colleagues and family members of the researcher.
