Sana’a University Launches Training for Faculty Members on Lecture Recording

In line with the University Council’s decision to record lectures on video across all faculties and publish them on the University’s website, training sessions for faculty members of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences began today.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Khaled Al-Khamisi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, emphasized the importance of these training sessions in familiarizing faculty members with the procedures and steps involved in recording lectures, as well as how to operate cameras and recording equipment. He highlighted the significant role this initiative will play in positioning Sana’a University among the world’s leading universities, given its material and human capabilities.
Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Advisor for Media Affairs, affirmed that these training sessions are being held in implementation of the directives of the University Rector, Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, with the aim of training faculty members and preparing them for on-camera presentations. This initiative will be implemented starting from the beginning of the second semester of the current academic year (1446 AH/2025) for the first, second, and third-year medical students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. He also emphasized that Sana’a University’s scholars possess numerous skills and capabilities that can place them among the world’s leading scholars. Al-Hababi further explained that lectures will be recorded using high-quality technology that will contribute to delivering information to students and facilitate their learning. He pointed out that these lectures will benefit all students worldwide and will undoubtedly contribute to raising the University’s position in the International University rankings.
Dr. Khaled Ali Omar, the course trainer, clarified that these sessions are designed to guide faculty members on how to use lecture documentation equipment to present themselves in a manner befitting them and Sana’a University. During the training, trainees engaged in practical applications of the theoretical concepts discussed.
