Discussion of Progress Reports and Delivery of Documentary Films to Website Officials at Sana’a University
Under the auspices of the University Rector, Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abass, the fourth regular meeting for the University’s websites and social media officials was held today at the Business Administration Center, the Faculty of Commerce. The meeting was presided over by the University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi.
In his address, Mr. Al-Hababi emphasized the critical role of the University’s diverse online platforms, which include nearly 400 websites and social media pages in both Arabic and English. He highlighted their importance in effectively conveying the university’s mission, vision, and values to both local and international audiences as well as to stakeholders involved in international university rankings.
Al-Hababi stressed the necessity for integrity and clarity in all communications, advising that news articles and posts must comprehensively answer key questions: who, when, what, why, where, and how. This approach, he asserted, will enhance the university’s media and marketing objectives and underscore Sana’a University’s distinctive offerings compared to other Yemeni institutions.
During the meeting, attendees listened to progress reports presented by website officials of the university centers and faculties regarding their activities during November 2024. Mr. Majed Aslan, Head of the Graphics Department at the University’s main website, announced a new initiative involving student teams from the Computer Center. These teams will undertake field projects at the faculties as part of their graduation requirements. Aslan encouraged active cooperation to maximize the benefits derived from these student projects for both the students and the University.
The meeting concluded with the distribution of documentary films produced by media students. These films highlight the extensive capabilities of the University’s faculties and centers. These documentary films are slated for future publication across the University’s digital platforms.
