Public MA Viva-Voice Examination of Mr. Baker Hasan Mohsen Alahnoomy
The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the MA Thesis hereto entitled: ” Syntactic The Principles According to Al-Khabisi in the Book Al-Muwashah Ali Kafiya Ibn Al-Hajib: A Descriptive syntactic Study study “, submitted by Mr. Baker Hasan Mohsen Alahnoomy Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Education –Sana’a, Sana’a University, was held on Sunday, 23/05/1446 Hijri corresponding to 24/11/2024. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at:
- Clarifying the authenticity of Arabic speech according to Al-Khabisi, whether God’s words, the speech of His Messenger, or Arabic speech in its poetry and prose in establishing the rules of syntax.
- Explaining the authenticity of consensus and analogy with Al-Khabaisi in establishing the rules of syntax.
- Highlighting Al-Khabisi’s opinions on issues of grammar principles in general are revealed in this book.
The study concluded a set of findings as: the book of Al-Muwashah is full and loaded with all the principles of syntax, the most important of which is the transmission evidence, the evidence of which exceeded ninety-eight hundred transmission evidences, and the most important of which was the Holy Qur’an, the evidence of which exceeded fifty-three hundred Qur’anic evidences, and an important source the Qur’anic readings, which were frequent and anomalous. Then came the speech of the Arabs represented in its poetry and prose after Holy Qur’an. These evidences exceeded five hundred and eighty evidence narrated on the authority of the Arabs, and then came the Noble Hadith. and Al-Khabisi cited it unconditionally. Al-Khabisi relied on consensus, stated it, and relied on it in establishing some syntactic rules. He also relied on analogy in both its inductive and formal senses, as well as reasoning in all its educational, analogical, and dialectical types.
A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.
The MA Thesis has been examined and is recommended by the Viva-Voice Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of Master in Arabic Language majoring in (Syntax),, with an overall grade of Excellent (95%).
