For her Master’s thesis entitled:
Banding Versus bonding Molar Tubes of Permanent First Molar
in terms of Patient Discomfort and Failure Rate
The examining committee consisted of:

The study aims at comparing between banded and bonded first permanent molars in terms of patient discomfort and failure rate amongst Yemeni adult orthodontic cases.
The study comes out with some results: first permanent molar banding are more painful by orthodontic patients than by those having bonding tubes, particularly at the early periods. Pains minimized by the following months. There is no significant trouble in both methods, banding and bonding according to age group. Failure rate indicates that bonding tubes are more likely to fail than in banding orthodontics.
The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this Master’s thesis, of which: future studies must focus on orthodontic sessions with longer follow-up periods and on the economic and social situation factors for patients. The study also recommends using banding in the mandible on the right side more than the left side.
Attendees of the viva session were a number of academics, researchers, students of the major, the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
