Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of Ms. Salwa Mohammed Ahmed Almethali
The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled: “A Training Program Based on Modules and Its Impact on Acquainting Learners of Humanities Sciences at the College of Education, Sana’a University the Authentic Assessment Methods and Their Attitudes Towards it”, submitted by Ms. Salwa Mohammed Ahmed Almethali Department of Social Sciences (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Social Sciences) , Faculty of Education –Sana’a, was held on Thursday, 21/04/1446 Hijri corresponding to 24/10/2024. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at revealing the impact of a training program based on modules and its impact on acquainting learners of humanities sciences at the College of Education, Sana’a University the authentic assessment methods and their attitudes towards it
The study concluded that there is a statistically significant difference at level (0.05) among the means of the pretest and the posttest in the cognitive test as a whole for the sake of the posttest and this is what was assured by the effect size. The findings also revealed that there is a statistically significant difference at level (0.05) among the means of the pre-application and the post application of the observation checklist for the authentic assessment methods as a whole in favor of the post application.
Many recommendations were suggested as: officials responsible for developing the pre-service teacher training programs should get benefit from the list of the authentic assessment methods, developing the training programs in light of them, benefit from the training program in this dissertation by the rehabilitation and training sector of the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in training teachers of humanities studies at all stages of education when evaluating students, and developing the curricula in the College of Education, especially the curriculum of the educational measurement and evaluation course.
A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.
