Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of researcher/Marwa AL-HADI

Today, Saturday Shaaban 16th, 1446H, February 15th, 2025, the candidate researcher/ Marwa Abdul-Rahman Abdullah Ahmed AL-HADI
Obtained the Philosophy of Doctorate degree in Computing and Data Science, Major: Computer Science from Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, Sanaa University, for her thesis entitled:
A novel Smart Healthcare Monitoring Model Based on Internet of Things and
Deep Learning Techniques
The discussing committee was formed of:
♦ Professor Dr. Ghaleb Hamoud AL-JAPHARI, Principle Supervisor Committee Member,
♦ Professor Dr. Abdul-Majed Ahmed AL-KHOLAIDI, Internal Examiner Head of Committee, and
♦ Associate Professor Dr. Fuad Hasan Abdul-Razaq, External Examiner Committee Member.
The thesis aims at addressing the critical lack in heart disease predication accuracy using integrated datasets, and the lack of having an applicable smart IoT application that integrates with deep learning techniques based on the predication process.
The study comes out with some results: the potential of heart disease prediction models powered by deep learning techniques and smart IoT monitoring is meant to revolutionize the healthcare system by enhancing accuracy and applicable work up to 98.5%. Such models provide insights for the future ability of real-time implementation of heart disease prediction and monitoring systems.
The study concludes with some recommendations of which the proposed method provides a solid foundation for future research and encourages digging more in this field not only in heart disease systems but also in other systems. The study recommends using other tools, such as: Stochastic Gradient Descent, Adaptive, Momentum, Gradient Algorithm (Adagrad), all besides a work cadre like Flask and Dash as for monitoring actual real time.
Attendees of the viva session were a number of academics, researchers, interested students of the major, the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
