University Media Officials Discuss Arrangements for Application, Admission, and Bridging System

Under the patronage of Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abbas, the University Rector, the sixth regular meeting for the 1446 AH academic year was held today with the officials responsible for the university’s websites and social media platforms.The meeting was chaired by Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the University Rector’s assistant for Media Affairs.
The meeting featured a review of the 2024 annual report on the university’s websites, along with an update on the university’s position in the Webometrics international ranking. Sana’a University achieved significant improvement, advancing 22 positions globally to rank 3,540th among over 32,000 universities worldwide. It also outpaced the nearest Yemeni university by more than 510 places, securing the top spot nationally.
The Webometrics ranking is based on website excellence, transparency, and the quality of scientific research.
The meeting also included an evaluation of the progress reports for the university’s websites for February 2025.
During the session, Mr. Al-Hababi congratulated the website and social media teams on their successful efforts, which contributed to the university’s progress in the Webometrics ranking. He acknowledged their hard work over the past year and encouraged them to put in even more effort in the coming year.
He also highlighted the limited time remaining before the launch of the application and admission processes for the coming new academic year, as well as the introduction of the bridging system in the faculties of the university. He emphasized the importance of being well-prepared to support these processes through the university’s websites and pages, ensuring they publish relevant and helpful information.
Mr. Al-Hababi underscored the need for strong coordination within the faculties, particularly among the relevant departments, to share accurate and timely information about application, admission, and bridging requirements.
On behalf of the graphics team, Mr. Majed Aslan, the Graphics Administrator at the university’s main website, assured that the team is diligently preparing the necessary materials for the application, admission, and bridging processes for the upcoming academic year. He confirmed that everything will be ready on schedule.
