Public MA Viva-Voce Examination of Mr. Mukhtar Mosed, from the Department of Arabic Language, Faculty of Languages

The Public Viva-Voce Examination for the MA Thesis hereto entitled, The Narrative Structure In the Scenes of the Resurrection in the Holy Quran, submitted by Mr. Mukhtar Abdullah Naji Mosed, Department of Arabic, Faculty of Languages, was held on Saturday, 09/08/1446 Hijri corresponding to 08/02/2025. The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:
1. Prof. Amenah Yousif Muhammed, Internal examiner, Sana’a University, Chair.
2. Assoc. Prof. Adnan Yousif AL-Shuaibi, Main supervisor, Sana’a University, Member.
3. Assoc. Prof. Esam Hefdullah Hussein Wasil, External Examiner, Dhamar University, Member.
The study aimed to:
● Elucidate the narrative structure in the scenes of the Day of Resurrection in the Quran and the narrative elements and techniques it embodies, which hold a significant presence and status in modern narrative.
● Uncover the secret behind the vividness and dynamic nature of the scenes of the Day of Resurrection in the Quran
The study concluded with a number of findings, including
● Most modern narrative techniques and styles are present in the Quranic narrative.
● The secret behind the vividness and dynamic nature of the scenes of the Day of Resurrection in the Quran lies in the purposeful and precise diversity of narrative techniques and styles, whether the scenes are standalone or interconnected.
The researcher made several recommendations, including
● Emphasizing the importance of studying Quranic narrative and examining its techniques and methods to illuminate the magnificence of the Book of Allah and to enrich the literary field as a whole.
The MA thesis has been examined and is recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of MA majoring in Literature and Criticism with an overall grade of 95%, Excellent.
The viva was attended by academics, researchers, students, and other interested individuals, including the researcher’s colleagues and family members.
