Obtained the Master degree with a Very Good average in the major of Clinical Orthodontics from the Department of Orthodontics, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Sanaa University,
For his Master’s thesis entitled:
Craniofacial Morphology in Class I Malocclusion with Maxillary Anterior Crowding Among Yemeni Adults
The examining committee consisted of:
- Associate Professor Dr. Naela AL-MOGAHED, Principle Supervisor
Committee Member,
- Associate Professor Dr. Fuad Lutf AL-MUTAREB, Internal Examiner
Head of Committee, and
- Associate Professor Dr. Khaled AL-DHORAEE, External Examiner

The study aims at comparing craniofacial and dental characteristics between Yemeni adults with severe maxillary anterior crowding (MxAC) and those with normal tooth alignment of Class I occlusion.
The study comes out with some results as follows: The MxAC show significantly shorter cranial base lengths and larger SNB and ANB angels comparing to the control group. Skeletal measurements reveal a more vertically inclined facial pattern in the MxAC group, whose, nevertheless, larger mesiodistal crown diameters, except for first molars. Meanwhile, the tooth size-arch size ratio is significantly reduced within the MxAC group.
The researcher presents a number of recommendations at the end of this Master’s thesis, of which: There exists a need for more studies but including the gene factors causing teeth crowd so as to help early treatment.
Attendees of the viva session were a number of academics, researchers, students of the major, the researcher’s colleagues and some of family members.
