Council of Graduate Studies Holds Its Ninth Meeting for the Academic Year 2024/2025

The Council of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Sana’a University held its seventh regular meeting for the academic year 1446 AH – 2024/2025 AD on Monday, Ramadan 17, 1446 AH, corresponding to March 17, 2025 AD. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Al-Qasim Mohammed Abbas, Rector of the University, and chaired by Professor Dr. Huda Ali Al-Emad, Assistant Vice Rector of the University for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The Vice Deans for Graduate Studies of all Sanaa University Faculties as well as representatives from the scientific and research centers has also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the outcomes of the meeting between the Rector and the Information Technology team regarding the SAR system for graduate studies, where detailed specializations are included according to the program description.
In this context, the Council discussed several topics, including the extension and termination of the scholarship period for a number of sponsored students, the approval of 18 doctoral dissertation titles and 32 master’s thesis titles in various disciplines across faculties and research centers, in addition to approving modifications to some of the titles of doctoral dissertations and master’s theses.
The meeting approved the results of the Viva’s discussion and judgment for 16 master theses and doctoral dissertations from various faculties and research centers.
The Council also approved the student’s results in various programs (diplomas – level improvement – MA course-work).
The meeting also approved a number of internal scholarships for teaching assistants and lecturers from various disciplines to pursue master’s and doctoral degrees, and joint cooperation grants between public universities.
Earlier, at the beginning of its session, the Council reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
