University Council Reviews Final Preparations for the Academic Year 1447 AH (2025/2026)

During its 9th regular meeting held today, chaired by Prof. Al-Kasem Mohammed Abbas, the University Council discussed the final arrangements for the start of the academic year 1447 AH (2025/2026) and the completion of preparations for the launch of the electronic application and admission process, set to start after Eid al-Fitr holiday.
The council reviewed the implementation mechanism and the student reception plan, including addressing inquiries through the university’s official platforms across faculties, centers, and social media pages on a daily basis. It also examined potential challenges in the admission process and outlined suitable solutions.
Moreover, the council discussed the Entrance Test Schedules for faculties that require them, based on expected student numbers derived from past enrollment statistics, in coordination with the university’s Electronic Testing Center (ETC). It also assessed the formation of technical teams to oversee the progress of these exams.
During the meeting held at the university’s headquarters in the Capital Secretariat, Sana’a, with the attendance of the university’s vice-rectors, assistants, and faculty deans, the council approved the awarding of PhD and MA degrees to 38 students across various disciplines. It also endorsed the graduation lists of students from the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Computer Science & IT, Faculty of Sharia and Law, and Faculty of Education (Khawlan).
Furthermore, the council addressed several topics related to academic affairs, postgraduate studies, and student affairs, making proper decisions accordingly.
The meeting began with a review and approval of the previous meeting minutes.
