Public PhD Viva-Voice Examination of Miss. Sawsan Naji Mohammed Alammari

The Public Viva-Voice Examination for the PhD Dissertation hereto entitled: ” The Effectiveness of a Program Based on Addy and Shair Model on the Development of Some Scientific Concepts and Logical Thinking Skills Among Preschool Children”, submitted by Miss. Sawsan Naji Mohammed Alammari Department of Science (Curricula and Methods of Teaching Science) , Faculty of Education –Sana’a, was held on Sunday, 23/09/1446 Hijri corresponding to 23/03/2025. The Viva-Voice Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed at:
- Measuring the effectiveness of the program in developing some scientific concepts and logical thinking skills among preschool children
- Measuring the extent of the relationship between the development of scientific concepts and the logical thinking skills.
The study concluded that: there is a statistically significant difference in the development of scientific concepts in favor of the post-application. Also, there is statistically significant difference in the development of the logical thinking skills for the sake of the post-application. There is a positive correlation between the development of some scientific concepts and logical thinking skills
Many recommendations were suggested as: – training kindergarten teachers on the Addy and Shair model, providing a nurturing environment for children in kindergarten, and educating parents on the importance of developing scientific concepts and logical thinking skills.
A number of academics, the department head, some researchers, students, interested people, and a number of the candidates’ colleagues and family members attended the viva.
