Sana’a University’s Rector Attends Public Defense of the Very First PhD Dissertation in Accounting in Yemeni Universities

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Sana’a University’s Rector, attended the public defense of the first PhD dissertation in accounting across Yemeni universities at the Economic and Financial Studies and Research Center (EFSRC) at Sana’a University. The dissertation, titled “A Proposed Framework for Developing Strategic Performance in Yemeni Enterprises,” was presented by the researcher Ibrahim Ali Mohammed Mahdi, who was subsequently awarded a PhD in Accounting.
In his address, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti underscored the need for ongoing academic excellence as a cornerstone for national development and for equipping the labor market with highly qualified and capable professionals.
He also stressed the importance of research in economic and financial fields, pointing out its positive role in enhancing business sector performance, mitigating risks, and boosting chances of success.
The viva voce session was also attended by Prof. Ibrahim Al-Mutaa’, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs; Dr. Manaf Al-Dailami, Director of EFSRC; several faculty members from the Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Commerce; postgraduate students from both MA and PhD programs at the center; as well as members of the researcher’s family.
