The Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Post-Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

This study aimed to examine the impact of organizational development—across its dimensions (systems and policies, methods and technology, training and development, organizational structure, and analysis and monitoring)—on the performance of private healthcare facilities through total quality management (TQM) in Class A private hospitals in the Capital Secretariat (Sana’a), Yemen.
The study reached several key findings, including:
- The current state of organizational development in the surveyed private hospitals was generally high across all dimensions except for the “analysis and adaptation” dimension, which scored moderately high.
- The performance level of the healthcare facilities was high across all dimensions.
- The level of TQM implementation in these hospitals was also high, with all dimensions being actively applied—except for “employee focus,” which was moderately high.
- Organizational development was found to have a significant positive impact on the improvement of healthcare facilities’ performance through the mediating role of TQM.
The study recommends that hospital administrations should review and enhance their analysis and adaptation activities, with particular attention to monitoring employee conditions and involving staff in implementation processes. Strengthening these areas is expected to increase the efficiency of organizational development and improve institutional performance, thereby boosting the effectiveness of Total Quality Management.
The PhD dissertation was examined and recommended by the Viva-Voce Committee for acceptance and approval. The Candidate was recommended to be awarded the degree of PhD in Business Administration.
