Master’s Degree Awarded to Researcher Amat Alilah Mohsen from the Public Relations and Advertising Department, Faculty of Mass Communication

Researcher Amat Alilah Ali Mohsen Al-Hamzi has been awarded a Master’s degree with honors, achieving a score of 95%, from the Public Relations Department, Faculty of Mass Communication, Sana’a University.
The title of her thesis was “The Use of Yemeni Banks Customers of Their Smart Applications and Its Relationship to Their Choice of their Banking Services.”
The Viva voce took place on Thursday, 3/10/1446 AH, corresponding to 1/5/2024 AD.
The Viva committee consisted of:
* Prof. Ali Ahmed Alhaweri External examiner, Chairperson of the Committee
* Asst. Prof. Omar Ahmed Albukhaiti , Internal examiner, Member of the Committee
* Asst. Prof. Omar Ebreen, Supervisor and Member.
The thesis aimed to: measure the rate of use of smart applications by Yemeni bank customers, identify the usage habits of smart applications, and determine the types of banking services used through smart applications.
The thesis revealed several conclusions, including: the overall rate of use of smart applications by Yemeni bank customers was low; customers who use smart applications of Yemeni banks at a (daily) rate ranked first; and mobile phones were the most used devices by the study sample.
The researcher suggested several recommendations, including: improving the design of application interfaces to be user-friendly and understandable for all customer segments, achieving simplicity in design helps customers use applications more easily and effectively, and implementing awareness campaigns through various media channels.
The discussion was attended by a number of academics, researchers, students, and family members of the researcher.
