Training Workshop on Course File Preparation at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Sana’a University Rector, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences held a training workshop titled: “Course File Preparation for Faculty Members and Their Assistants Across All Academic Departments” with the participation of 95 faculty members.
As part of the faculty’s continuous efforts to elevate the quality of higher education and align with international academic accreditation standards, the workshop aimed to enable participants to prepare course files that meet accreditation requirements. It also sought to deepen their understanding of the structure and significance of these files in enhancing the quality of academic programs.
The workshop placed strong emphasis on hands-on training, adopting a modern, systematic, and scientific approach to course file preparation.
In his opening speech, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the critical role of the course file as a key requirement for academic accreditation. He encouraged academic departments to hold regular meetings, discuss recent developments, and update curricula to align with international standards.
Following the opening session, Prof. Saleh Bahaj, the national quality expert and faculty coordinator with the accreditation body, delivered an in-depth presentation on the procedures of course file preparation and its essential components which include classroom activities, self-directed learning, exam specification tables, blueprints, and course content. The session was marked by active participation and insightful contributions from attendees.
Concluding the event, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shahari, Dean of the Faculty, urged all departments to implement the workshop outcomes and finalize their course files within one week. He emphasized that this initiative represents a significant leap in the faculty’s pursuit of international academic accreditation and in strengthening its competitive standing both locally and internationally.
The workshop was attended by vice deans, heads of department, faculty members, and quality representatives from various academic departments.
