University Rector Visits Faculty of Engineering and Calls for Infrastructure Upgrades and Service Enhancement

In line with his commitment to improving service quality and fostering a better campus environment, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Sana’a University Rector, paid an inspection visit to the Faculty of Engineering this morning. He was joined by several administrative officials, including the University Secretary-General Mr. Eskander Al-Maqaleh, General Director of Services, Eng. Abdulghani Al-Dharihi, General Director of Projects, Eng. Abdulhakim Shamsan, and Faculty Secretary Mr. Mohammed Al-Odaini.
During the visit, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti viewed the state of the faculty’s infrastructure, inspecting areas affected by water accumulation, flood drainage systems, and green spaces. He closely examined the level of organization and maintenance of these public facilities.
He underscored the need to implement lasting solutions to address water accumulation and manage storm drainage effectively, in accordance with precise engineering standards. He warned against any neglect that could damage the educational environment or the faculty’s infrastructure.
He commended the condition of the surrounding gardens and green spaces, urging their continued maintenance and development to enhance the university’s beautiful environment.
He also instructed the concerned personnel to optimize irrigation practices and manage water distribution efficiently to ensure healthy plant growth while avoiding water waste. He emphasized the need for close collaboration between faculty, services, and cultivation administrations to ensure well-coordinated maintenance, sanitation, and environmental planning.
He praised the dedication of the Faculty of Engineering’s administrative, technical, and support staff, noting that the professionalism and teamwork he observed reflect a strong commitment to the faculty’s growth and performance.
This visit, he explained, is part of a wider field assessment initiative aimed at evaluating performance across university faculties, identifying challenges, and implementing effective solutions to build a holistic educational environment that supports both students and staff.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti concluded his visit by reaffirming the university’s commitment to institutional advancement, calling on all staff to foster a spirit of initiative and accountability in pursuit of Sana’a University’s mission as a leading academic institution.
