Sana’a University Rector Visits University Hospital and Highlights Need for Development to Better Serve Academic and Administrative Staff

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Sana’a University Rector, conducted an insoection visit to the University Hospital. This visit came as part of the university leadership’s continued efforts to enhance healthcare sector infrastructure and improve the quality of medical services provided to faculty members, staff, and students.
The visit commenced with a meeting between Prof. Al-Bukhaiti, the hospital director, and a group of medical and administrative staff members. During the meeting, the university Rector received a comprehensive briefing on the hospital’s current healthcare services and the challenges it faces amidst increasing demand for its services. He commended the hospital’s essential role in providing care to the university community and underscored the administration’s strong commitment to developing this vital facility, recognizing its impact on academic and administrative stability.
In his remark, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti stressed the importance of upgrading and equipping the hospital to keep pace with the university’s expansion and the evolving needs of its staff. He called for the creation of a fully supportive and healthy environment that fosters high performance and elevates the quality of the medical services provided. Moreover, he directed hospital officials to assess available resources, expand the scope of services, support the medical and technical staff, and improve infrastructure and equipment.
During the visit, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti viewed the hospital’s newly expanded facility currently under construction. The new building is set to house a range of specialized clinics and state-of-the-art medical units. He praised the project’s architectural design and appreciated the efforts invested in its implementation, emphasizing the importance of completing the project according to the approved medical vision and timeline to help meet the increasing demand for healthcare services and enhance the hospital’s capacity.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti was accompanied by University General Secretary, Mr. Eskander Al-Maqaleh, General Director of Projects, Eng. Abdulhakim Shamsan, and several faculty members and administrative staff.
This visit reflects the university leadership’s ongoing commitment to advance all its institutional sectors, especially healthcare, aiming to create a well-rounded academic environment that meets the diverse needs of the university’s affiliates at various levels.
