University Committee Conducts Evaluation Visits to Several Scientific and Research Centers at Sana’a University

Sana’a – Monday, June 23, 2025 (27 Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH)
In line with Sana’a University’s strategic efforts to boost academic and research productivity and elevate institutional performance, a university committee appointed by the University Rector, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, conducted field evaluation visits to several scientific and research centers.
The committee included:
• Prof. Huda Al-Emad, the Vice-Rector’s Assistant for Graduate Studies
• Prof. Zaid Ali Al-Wareeth, the Rector’s Assistant for Scientific and Research Centers Affairs
• Dr. Ahmed Al-Raidi
• Mr. Al-Ezzi Al-Khatari
• Mr. Taha Al-Mekhlafi
• Mr. Abdullah Muthanna
The evaluation visits included the Inclusive Development Research Center, the Water and Environment Center, the Genetic Resources Center, the Center of Central Laboratories, and the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching.
The committee was welcomed by directors and deputy directors of the respective centers. At the Center for Inclusive Development Research, Dr. Halimah Jahhaf welcomed the committee. At the Water and Environment Center, they were welcomed by Dr. Fadhl Al-Nuzaili and Dr. Hisham Naji. Due to work-related travel, Dr. Taha Al-Washali, Director of the Center, and faculty member Mr. Abdulsalam Mohammed joined the discussion via Zoom.
At the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching, the committee met with Prof. Ibraheem Tagadeen, Director of the center, Dr. Yahya Obaid, Deputy Director. The committee also met with Dr. Mohammed Al-Aswadi, Director of the Genetic Resources Center, and Dr. Mansour Al-Dhubhani, Director of the the Center of Central Laboratories.
Throughout the visits, the committee engaged in discussions on the centers’ academic, research, and administrative operations, highlighting key challenges and current needs.
Concluding the visits, the committee commended the leadership and staff of the centers for their efforts and acknowledged the notable progress in performance. It stressed the importance of continued dedication to advancing scientific research and ensuring active preparation for the 2025–2026 academic year (1447 AH), underscoring the critical role these centers play in strengthening the university’s overall performance as well as its academic and research standing.
