University President Inaugurates Admission Application in 234 Graduate Programs for the Academic Year 1447 AH

As part of Sana’a University’s commitment to achieving a disciplined and exemplary academic year, University Rector Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti officially inaugurated the admission application process for graduate studies (MA and PhD. programs) on Saturday. The programs span all university faculties, research, academic, and service centers for the upcoming academic year 1447 AH.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the university’s main headquarters, was attended by Prof. Huda Al-Emad, the Vice-Rector’s Assistant for Postgraduate Studies, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs, along with the Vice Deans for Graduate Studies at various faculties and centers.
In his remarks, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti highlighted that the launching of admission in 234 graduate programs, covering all faculties as well as academic and research centers within the university, reflects Sana’a University’s academic excellence and growing reputation both nationally and internationally.
He pointed out that in the previous years, the university offered no more than 20 such programs, whereas today’s expansion marks a transformative milestone in both quantity and quality, credited to the tireless and dedicated efforts of the former administration and the ongoing work of academic, administrative, and student affairs teams.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti affirmed his commitment to maintaining this momentum, striving for ongoing development and improving institutional performance and outcomes.
He also emphasized the need for flexible and accessible admission procedures that make it easy for applicants to complete the necessary steps while ensuring strict adherence to documentation requirements and regulatory standards outlined in the official announcements.
The University Rector encouraged the concerned staff to actively support applicants by addressing inquiries with patience, offering helpful guidance, and keeping the university’s social media channels regularly updated with useful information. He stressed the importance of enforcing rules and fostering a disciplined academic environment, from admission to activities inside lecture halls and other administrative practices, so that students can feel proud of their affiliation with such a prestigious university
Additionally, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti instructed faculty deans to submit reports on both academic and administrative discipline and to intensify efforts to ensure a successful and well-coordinated admission process. He also called for stronger collaboration among all units involved, noting that upcoming field visits and continuous evaluations would be conducted across faculties and centers.
He further underscored the importance of thoroughly reviewing proposed graduate research topics at the Council for Graduate Studies before submission to the University Council, ensuring coherent integration between the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and their academic departments, and upholding a rigorous and competitive educational mission.
Prof. Huda Al-Emad outlined the preparatory steps already taken for this year’s coordination process, emphasizing the importance of verifying that applicants’ submitted documents align with the requirements stated in the official published announcements, application forms, and eligibility criteria. She added that graduate studies offices had provided faculties and centers with academic plans, operational guidelines, and administrative instructions to support a well-structured process.
Vice Deans from various faculties also offered recommendations aimed at simplifying procedures, ensuring that students receive accurate information that facilitates their registration process and improves both administrative and organizational performance.
Attendees praised the university’s strong support for graduate education, its ongoing efforts to enhance and develop the sector, and its commitment to allocating resources to empower this vital area, which plays a central role in advancing comprehensive development through impactful, solution-oriented research addressing challenges across various fields and disciplines.
