University President’s Assistant for Media Affairs Emphasizes Importance of Documenting Activities and Enhancing Digital Presence

Sana’a – Saturday, July 12, 2025
Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, Sana’a University Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs, emphasized the importance of documenting the activities and events carried out by the university’s faculties and centers. He stressed the need to share this content through the official websites and social media pages of the faculties and centers, citing its pivotal role in enhancing the university’s community image and strengthening its media presence both locally and internationally.
This came during the first regular meeting of the university’s website and social media admins for the 2025–2026 academic year (1447 Hijri). The meeting was dedicated to discussing the executive plan for monitoring activities and events across the university’s various faculties and centers.
The Assistant to the Rector for Media Affairs praised the significant successes achieved by the university’s media teams during the last year. He explained that the university’s website achieved high rankings among Yemeni websites, according to the specialized site “SimilarWeb,” with the number of visitors exceeding half a million last April. Additionally, the university’s Facebook page reached more than 5.8 million views in a 28-day period, reflecting the scale of interaction and the growing trust in Sana’a University’s media.
Mr. Al-Hababi stressed that this success places a greater responsibility on the website administrators of the main site, faculties, and centers to redouble their efforts. He urged them to highlight the academic capabilities and scientific facilities that distinguish Sana’a University, which are not available in many local and regional universities.
The meeting included several contributions from the website admins, who reviewed their accomplishments during the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s and PhD) application and admission period. They noted that the media coverage for all stages of the application process in the faculties is ongoing.
It is worth noting that Sana’a University intends to implement a number of specialized training courses for media personnel during the current year, with the aim of developing their skills and elevating the quality of the university’s media message.
