Sana’a University Student Affairs Council Holds First Meeting of Academic Year 1447 Hijri (2025-2026)

The Student Affairs Council at Sana’a University convened its first regular meeting for the academic year 1447 Hijri (2025-2026) on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Mohammed Ali Shukri.
During the meeting, the Council approved several graduation lists for various colleges and centers based on their graduation sessions. The approved lists included the following colleges and centers: Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Arhab Faculty of Education, Faculty of Physical Education, Khawlan Faculty of Education, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Mass Media, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Faculty Sharia and Law, Faculty of Computer and Information Technology, and the Computer Center. These approvals were made based on recommendations submitted by the respective faculty Councils and forwarded to the University Council for final approval.
Prof. Shukri commended the efforts of the Faculty Deputy Deans for Student Affairs (Council members) for their efficient preparation and timely submission of the graduation lists for the first term of 2025 academic year. The procedures of graduation list preparation included reviewing and approving them by the faculty Councils, submitting them to the Student Affairs Council for final approval and submission to the University Council. Prof. Shukri emphasized the University’s commitment to completing these procedures within the designated timeframe in support of the academic process and the best interests of students.
The meeting, held at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, also addressed a range of topics, including the possibility of student transfers from private universities to Sana’a University, a proposal that will be submitted to the University Council for review. The Council further discussed student-related topics raised by faculties or directly submitted by students in writing, and issued appropriate decisions accordingly.
The Council concluded by approving the minutes of its previous session.
