Second Regular Meeting of Sana’a University Media Administrators Discusses Media Performance and Praises Webometrics Ranking Achievement

The second regular meeting for the 1447 Hijri academic year for administrators of websites and social media pages at the University’s faculties, as well as scientific and research centers, was held today. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Adel Al-Hababi, the Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs.
The meeting, held at the University headquarters, discussed several topics, including media coverage of the launch of the new academic year, assessment of efforts to enhance the University’s digital and media presence, and the role of media teams in promoting academic and scientific content through official websites and social media platforms.
In his speech, Mr. Adel Al-Hababi congratulated attendees on the achievement the University made in the July 2025 edition of the Webometrics global ranking, emphasizing that this progress is the result of implementing the directives of the University leadership and the institutional media efforts in coordination with the leadership of the faculties and centers. He praised the role of media officers in covering activities and publishing them professionally and transparently in both Arabic and English.
The Rector’s Assistant for Media Affairs pointed out that Sana’a University now possesses more than 45 websites and over 300 active pages on social media. This represents a vast media network operating under a unified media policy approved by the University Council to enhance transparency and interaction with the academic community, both locally and internationally.
He stressed that these achievements bring greater responsibility to maintain and build upon what has been accomplished, urging continued efforts and teamwork to achieve further success in future global rankings and to solidify Sana’a University’s position as one of the leading universities in the region.
The meeting concluded by extending thanks and appreciation to all university media administrators for their tangible efforts, with an emphasis on the necessity of maintaining high-quality performance to propel the University towards broader horizons of academic excellence and effective institutional communication.
