Sana’a University and the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development Sign Cooperation Agreement

Sana’a University and the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development (GASMED) signed a memorandum of understanding, aiming at enhancing joint cooperation in education, training, and scientific research, and supporting economic development through the empowerment of national graduates.
The memorandum establishes a strategic partnership aimed at advancing education and research, enhancing practical training and skill development, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and local production, and creating greater opportunities for small and micro enterprises.
Areas of collaboration outlined in the agreement include the implementation of training and applied programs, engaging students and graduates in fields aligned with the demands of the labor market, preparing studies, guides, and educational programs, offering technical consultations, contributing to the development of productive capacities and linking them to small-scale economic activities, and promoting applied research and studies.
Both parties emphasized that the agreement marks a significant step toward national partnership aimed at serving comprehensive development, integrating the University’s role as an academic institution with the Authority’s mandate as a development body, thereby contributing to the qualification and empowerment of youth and enabling effective participation in the labor market and national production.
The memorandum was signed by Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, and Mr. Ahmed Ahmed Al-Kebsi, Chairman of the GASMED. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Iskandar Al-Maqaleh, General Secretary of the University, and Dr. Fuad Al-Mohatwari, Director of the Center for Science and Technology.
