University President Highlights “SAR” System as a Transformative Step in Supporting Postgraduate Students

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, chaired today an expanded meeting with the staff of the Office of the Vice Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research. The meeting focused on mechanisms for improving administrative and academic work and reviewing recent updates on modern digital systems.
In his address, the University Rector emphasized that the completion of all stages of registration, the formation of thesis defense and examination committees, and the approval of committee results for postgraduate students through the “SAR” system constitutes a major step toward comprehensive digital transformation. He noted that the system will streamline procedures, reduce time and effort for both students and staff, and ensure greater accuracy and transparency in the handling of academic transactions.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti further announced the launch of the Student Electronic Portal application as a complementary initiative to the “SAR” project. He explained that this platform will enable students to monitor their transactions and submit requests electronically, eliminating the need to move between offices. This, he stressed, will enhance academic services and align them with the demands of modern times.
The University Rector also underscored the importance of strict compliance with rules and regulations and of fostering the spirit of teamwork in order to strengthen institutional performance and serve the student who represents the center of the educational process.
The meeting also reviewed agreements signed between Sana’a University and educational hospitals, discussing ways to resolve current challenges and organizing operations to improve the quality of services provided to students and researchers.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Huda Al-Emad, the Vice-Rector’s Assistant for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research; Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Muhannadi, General Director of Postgraduate Studies; along with the staff of the Office of the Vice Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research.
