Sana’a University President Honors Top Students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment

The Rector of Sana’a University, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, honored the top-ranking students at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food, and Environment today, Monday, during a ceremony organized by the faculty to commemorate the Prophet’s Birthday and to welcome newly admitted students.
In his speech, the University Rector emphasized the strategic importance of agricultural education in providing the community with specialized cadres who contribute to achieving food security and sustainable development. He praised the efforts of the faculty and its academic staff in serving the educational process and called on students to persevere and pursue academic excellence to meet the nation’s needs.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Washali, congratulated the top students on their excellence, affirming that this recognition serves as a motivation to continue their success. He noted that the faculty is continuously working to develop its academic programs to enhance its role in serving agricultural development.
In his address, Dr. Dhafer Hwaideh, the faculty’s Youth Leader, stressed the importance of the occasion, explaining that its greatness lies in its perception at both the individual and community levels.
Student Ibrahim Qalila, representative of the University Student Forum (USF) at the faculty, also delivered a speech in which he expressed thanks to the university and the faculty for the recognition. He affirmed their commitment to drawing inspiration from the values embodied by the Prophet’s Birthday in their academic and practical lives.
The ceremony included an awareness lecture on the Prophet’s biography, chanting and poetry segments, a welcome for the newly admitted students, and an introduction to the faculty’s various specializations.
The event concluded with the honoring of the top-ranking students from various departments, a step that confirms the faculty’s direction towards establishing a culture of excellence and linking the educational process with faith-based and national values.
