Sana’a University President Chairs Meeting with Faculty of Engineering Leadership and Inspects Laboratories Ahead of Development Plan

Sana’a, Monday, Jumada al-Awwal 19, 1447 AH / November 10, 2025
Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, chaired a meeting with the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering, attended by the Dean, Dr. Adel Rawei’, his deputies, and several department heads.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti commended the efforts of the faculty’s new leadership, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and urging collective efforts to ensure the success of the educational process in the Faculty of Engineering, which is one of the university’s most vital faculties. He also called for constant work to foster a modern educational and research environment that keeps pace with current scientific and technological advancements.
Following the meeting, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti conducted an inspection visit to the faculty’s laboratories, accompanied by the Dean, his deputies, the Executive Director of the Engineering Consultancy Center (ECC), Dr. Ibrahim Al-Amiri, and the Executive Director of the Renewable Energy Center, Dr. Mohammed Al-Muzayqir.
During the visit, the University Rector assessed the laboratories’ readiness and explored plans for their development and modernization, particularly focusing on upgrading the facilities of the Chemical Engineering Department, which received its first group of students this year.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti underscored the importance of developing the laboratories to help prepare qualified engineering graduates who can meet the demands of the labor market. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting its various faculties to become exemplary models of academic and research excellence in Yemen.
