Sana’a University Inaugurates Martyrs’ Photo Gallery and Model Exhibition Honoring Their National Sacrifices

As part of its cultural and national activities aimed at strengthening the values of belonging, loyalty, and sacrifice, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Mr. Hasan Al-Saadi, Rector of Sana’a University Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, and Chairman of the Martyrs Foundation Taha Jarran inaugurated today the Martyrs’ Photo Gallery and Model Exhibition organized by the university in commemoration of Martyrs’ Anniversary Week.
Visitors toured the exhibition’s sections, which featured artistic panels and models documenting the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland, along with symbolic displays reflecting the spirit of resilience and national creativity across various fields. The exhibits also included artistic models highlighting aspects of national capabilities in defense and development, embodying values of dedication and contribution to the protection and service of the nation’s just causes.
Following the opening, a tribute and commemorative ceremony was held to honor the families of university-affiliated martyrs and the winners of the Faculty of Sharia and Law Students’ Scientific Competition, in the presence of a large audience of officials, academics, and students.
In his remarks, Minister Al-Saadi commended the excellent organization of the exhibition, affirming that commemorating the martyrs strengthens the culture of loyalty and generosity and embodies values of faith, patience, and steadfastness in the face of challenges. He called for promoting the spirit of sacrifice for the homeland as one of the highest human and national values that all should take pride in.
Rector Prof. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that, as a beacon of knowledge and enlightenment, Sana’a University also bears the responsibility of instilling national awareness among its students through cultural and educational activities that highlight the role of the martyrs in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and independence.
He pointed out that the university has presented a distinguished group of martyrs from various faculties and disciplines who embodied faith, loyalty, and devotion to the homeland. He affirmed the university leadership’s commitment to supporting the families of the martyrs and providing them with moral and social care in recognition of their great sacrifices.
In his speech on behalf of the University Students’ Forum, Ali Al-Alawi stated, “As students of Sana’a University, we draw inspiration from the courage and sincerity of the martyrs. We strive to follow their path in serving our homeland and society, and in strengthening national values in every endeavor we pursue.”
The event concluded with the honoring of the winners of the Online Cultural Competition and the families of the martyrs, who received the University Shield and certificates of appreciation. The ceremony was attended by the university’s vice rectors, assistants, the cultural advisor, deans of faculties, faculty members, directors of centers and administrative units, and a large gathering of students and staff who expressed their pride in participating in an event that embodies the spirit of national loyalty and belonging.
