PhD Degree Awarded to Mr. Fadhl Al-Rabaie in Business Administration

Mr. Fadhl Ali Mohammed Fadhl Al-Rabaie was awarded a PhD degree in Business Administration for his dissertation titled: The Impact of Knowledge Management on Organizational Performance through Intellectual Capital: A Field Study on Yemeni Telecommunications Sector, which was submitted to the Center of Business Administration – Sana’a University. The dissertation defense was held on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

The PhD Viva-Voce Committee, which was formed based on a resolution issued by the Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Council, consisted of the following:

The study aimed to:

• Identify the impact of knowledge management on organizational performance through intellectual capital in the Yemeni telecommunications sector.
• Examine the levels of the study’s main variables: knowledge management, intellectual capital, and organizational performance

The study yielded a number of key findings summarized as follows:

• Knowledge management, intellectual capital, and organizational performance were all found to be at a moderately high level.
• There was a statistically significant effect of both knowledge management and intellectual capital on organizational performance.
• Knowledge management had a significant effect on intellectual capital.
• Knowledge management also had a statistically significant effect on organizational performance through the partial mediation of intellectual capital in all its dimensions.

In light of these findings, the researcher recommended the following:

• Increasing attention to organizational performance and establishing specialized knowledge management units within the organizational structures of Yemeni telecommunications companies, ensuring their direct linkage to decision-makers to enhance their effectiveness in improving organizational performance.

The dissertation defense was attended by faculty members, researchers, students, colleagues, and the researcher’s family.
