Sana’a University President Meets Scientific Integrity Committee of Scientific and Research Centers, Stresses the Importance of Enhancing Thesis Quality

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, met with members of the Scientific Integrity Committee (SIC) of the University’s scientific and research centers as part of the University leadership’s efforts to enhance academic performance and develop postgraduate programs and academic theses at research centers.
During the meeting, the University Rector commended the vital role played by scientific and research centers in supporting academic and research activities, as well as the efforts of the SIC in improving academic standards. He emphasized that the development of postgraduate programs and the advancement of the quality of academic theses represent a strategic priority for the University. He also stressed the importance of teamwork between the SIC and center directors to ensure the achievement of the University’s academic objectives.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti further underscored the need for the SIC to hold regular meetings with the University Presidency every three months or whenever necessary. He highlighted the importance of center directors’ commitment to implementing the Committee’s decisions, in accordance with its mandates and authorities approved by the University Council, in order to strengthen academic discipline and enhance the quality of research outputs.
Then, Prof. Zaid Al-Warith, Rector’s Assistant for Scientific and Research Centers Affairs, expressed his appreciation for the Rector’s initiative to meet with the SIC and praised his continued support for the University’s scientific and research centers. He noted that this support has received considerable attention and has positively reflected on the performance of these centers. He explained that the SIC comprises a distinguished group of academic experts from various colleges, centers, and disciplines, and has played an effective role in improving the quality of academic theses and addressing numerous academic challenges within the centers.
Meanwhile, Prof. Adel Al-Matari, Head of the SIC of the Scientific and Research Centers, presented a detailed overview of the Committee’s mechanism of work, which it has been implementing for nearly two years. He highlighted the Committee’s efforts in reviewing and evaluating academic theses to ensure compliance with approved academic and research standards.
The meeting also included participations by several center directors and members of the SIC, who discussed existing challenges and proposed ways to enhance the performance of scientific and research centers.
The meeting was attended by the directors of the Center of Business Administration (CBA), Center for Public Administration (CPA), Political and Strategic Studies Center (PSSC), Population Studies, Economic Studies and Training Center (PSTC), and Inclusive Development Research Center (IDRC).
