University Academic Council Holds 7th Regular Meeting for the 1447 AH Academic Year

Sana’a – Wednesday, 21 January 2026 ( 2 Sha‘ban 1447 AH)

The Academic Council of Sana’a University held its seventh regular meeting for the 1447 AH (2025/2026) academic year on Wednesday, 21 January 2026, corresponding to 2 Sha‘ban 1447 AH. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Mutai, Vice Rector of the University for Academic Affairs, and attended by Council members representing the various faculties of the University.

The Council reviewed the items on its agenda and approved the minutes of its previous meeting before proceeding to discuss a number of academic issues related to the progress of the educational process and the enhancement of academic performance across the University’s faculties.

During the meeting, the Council adopted several academic decisions, including the approval of ten (10) academic promotions, nine (9) academic status adjustments, and the tenure of eight (8) faculty members.

The Council also addressed a range of issues concerning the level of academic performance in the faculties and the implementation of the teaching and learning process, and took the appropriate decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of university education.
