Sana’a University President Discusses Graduate Studies Performance and Stresses Strengthening Institutional Work

Sana’a – Saturday, January 24, 2026 (Sha‘ban 5, 1447 Hijri)
Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, held a meeting today at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research to review the level of academic and administrative performance and explore ways support the educational and research process.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Vice Rector’s Assistant for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Fares Al-Qadri, the University Rector, emphasized the importance of strengthening institutional work, consolidating a culture of teamwork, and adhering to professionalism and integrity in performance, which commensurate with Sana’a University’s elevated status and its scientific and national role.
The Rector stressed the need for intensifying efforts to improve graduate studies services and facilitate procedures for students and researchers, based on professional and ethical responsibility, in a manner that enhances the quality of education and scientific research.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized adherence to the approved graduate studies regulations across Yemeni universities, underscoring the importance of ongoing system and procedure updates to meet current requirements and better serve the educational process.
During the meeting, the University Rector reviewed a detailed presentation on performance progress, the procedures and controls governing graduate studies operations, as well as the level of achievement within the “SAR” system and the academic records of graduate students.
The meeting also discussed a number of observations and proposals raised by attendees. The Rector affirmed the university leadership’s commitment to listening to all views and adopting those that contribute to performance development, improving the quality of academic and administrative services, advancing graduate programs and scientific research, and providing an appropriate academic environment for researchers—thereby enhancing Sana’a University’s position locally, regionally, and internationally. He directed that the submitted observations should be studied and accordingly the necessary measures should be taken.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Scientific Research, Dr. Hisham Al-Jabali; the Director General of Graduate Studies, Mr. Abdulwahab Al-Muhannadi; and staff members of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
