Sana’a University Rector Inspects Progress of CCTLT Roof Restoration Project

Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Al-Bukhaiti, Rector of Sana’a University, conducted an inspection visit today to oversee the ongoing roof maintenance and rehabilitation project at the Community Center for Translation and Language Teaching (CCTLT). The project involves the total replacement of damaged roofing and comprehensive structural maintenance.
During the visit, Prof. Al-Bukhaiti reaffirmed the university leadership’s commitment to the rigorous monitoring and implementation of maintenance cycles across all faculties, centers, and facilities. He emphasized that such efforts contribute to improving the educational and training environment, safeguarding infrastructure, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the university’s academic and community services.
Prof. Al-Bukhaiti stressed the importance of executing maintenance projects in accordance with the highest standards of quality and technical precision, with adherence to timely completion and the use of durable, high-quality materials. He highlighted that these measures guarantee the safety of buildings and the continued performance of university facilities in their academic and service roles.
Accompanied by Assistant Secretary-General Mr. Mustafa Shari, the Rector listened to a technical briefing from Engineer Abdulhakim Shamsan, Director General of Projects. Eng. Shamsan detailed the progress of the first phase, which is being funded by the university at a cost of 5,400,000 Yemeni Rials. This phase covers approximately 600 square meters and is set to benefit hundreds of students and community members served by the CCTLT.
This project is a key component of Sana’a University’s broader strategy to modernize infrastructure, with a focus on implementing maintenance works across faculties, centers, and facilities using sustainable, high-quality materials. These efforts aim to strengthen academic and service performance and support both the educational process at the university and the community beyond.
